FISH

For a skin mount- Put the fish in a cooler with ice and bring it in immediately or, if that's not possible, wrap the fish in a damp towel or damp paper towels, then insert it into a plastic bag and freeze it until you can make it to the shop. If you wait too long ( 6 months or more), to bring it in, you may need reproduction fins as the originals may be freezer burned too badly to repair.

For Reproduction- Measure the entire length of the fish, and the girth of the fish at it's fullest point ( usually just about 1" behind gills), and take several good pictures if possible, before releasing the fish. Bring your measurements and pictures to the taxidermy shop to order your repro.
